Aaron Wynia!

Aaron always seems to get atleast one trick whenever the video or still camera comes out but that's what I really like about him. Anyways, check the photos and the video at the bottom for some real proof. Be sure to check out his blog aswell, www.polaroiding.blogspot.com .

West Nile positive.

Aaron doing this 180 over and over until
Ryan and I finally happy with what we had.

Not taking any credit for this idea, all
Aaron here. Backside nosegrind.

Here's Aaron pulling that frontside 180 with ease

Neglect!

Everyone knows I've been neglecting this blog because I'm an ass. People are always pestering me on msn with questions like, "When the hell are you going to update your blog?" and "You're a lazy piece of shit" or Peter's favourite, "Weak ass shit". With almost two weeks of school left the signs of summer break are more apparent day by day. Trying to get out shoot almost everyday, thinking of trick ideas and planning small day/weekend trips is becoming all the norm now and will be for the next three or four months, in other words, prime shredding time. I also picked up a new Bronica SQ-A so fun times will ensue with that. From now on though I promise regular updates no matter the amount of footage!

So without further delay here's some juice

Joel switch crooking upwards

Richie blunting on this really
dope bank

Unfortunately Cameron couldn't
come through with this backside
180 but he still gets gnar points.

A few of us decided to check out this new development
and Aaron had this really good idea to throw
some tin about.

Another regular day of skating,
Brian Wenning decided to drop by
and switch back tail bigspin out.
(click for sequence)

I guess Paul Rodriguez was there too
switch heel flipping stuff.

Adam working a stylish back tail,
can't miss this dude's style.

Isaac found this nice bump when we were out
cruising one evening, turned out nice.

Cameron poked this kickflip so well, I think
everyone there was impressed.

Josh and Kody hanging out

After I shot this photo of Kody
back smith stalling I decided I
would go get brackets from my
trunk for flashes. Low and behold,
I'm on the top of the fence and three
cop cruisers pull up. Don't worry,
we sweet talked our way out of it, Sir.

Erik busting an ollie at a spot that every
Kitchener local has gone by and said, "Somebody
needs to do something over that."

Another shot of Ben's tre flip at the bump over
the sidewalk, this time in sequential form.

Joel frontside tailsliding his
way through some jagged metal.

Ben, again, at the bump over the sidewalk, this time
popping, flicking and catching a backside flip perfectly.
It seems like every time he goes there he's whips out
something new and you know it's always clean.

One day I ended up in Guelph (don't ask)
and Harrison crooked on this high
block for me.

To end off the post, something that didn't make it
into the Color "For the Kids" issue, Aaron Wynia
ollieing over a chain and holding a nice nose
manual.

Another day at the office

The entirety of the week was total shit up until about Sunday night. Rain, wind and clouds made this weekend of skateboarding look non-existent, but, the sun pulled through and Sunday ended up being the day of getting shit done. The Brantford guys, Colton, Ryan, Byron and Minh came down to get whatever we could for the day. Bottom line, things went down and we got some goodies.

Ryan fixed up a home-made dolly and was testing
it out for the first time. Expect good things!

Colton being himself

Byron warming up at City Hall

Byron tossing what could have been greatness,
or was it really?

Mandatory stops at 7-11

Finally, Byron tossing a
nollie bigspin over the bump to
sidewalk.

Oh yeah, Jamie got worked there too.

More to come, holler!

Spring has SPRUNG!

Spring has sprung and it's about damn time! I'm stoked, you're stoked, everybody is just plain stoked (except for the security guards). The last post was me just getting back from a Houston, Texas skate trip with some friends and complaining about the winter, now we're out of that rut! Everyone is fiending to skate and so motivated to go out and throw down. We're also waiting for the last little bits of dirty snow to melt away from those not-so-popular sun spots but that's fine by me, it's dry, warm and 100% skatable outside. In the middle of all these things I've managed to get myself a new camera (which means more sequences, I'm almost a filmer now) and get my first photo run in Concrete skateboarding magazine. Other things are poppin' off as well:

True Love held an event at the Kitchener skatepark pretty well signifying the opening of the season with a barbeque, game of skate and best trick on the humps. They've also got a huge Go Skate Day (June 21st) event planned for the city.

Formerly known as Boardzone, the crew over there has re-done the shop and it is now called Sanction Skate and Snow. Big re-opening April 17th, head over there!

Finally, Jeremy Eby, Matt Smith and Isaac and Joel Watamaniuk have come together and re-upped the company Love Skateboards and are pushing it full force this season. Decks, clothing and five panel hats all coming starting May. Head over to their blog:

Toronto/Sauga Weekend

Shoot, it's been a few weeks since Aaron, Isaac and Joel and I took a trip down to the Mississauga/Toronto area so here is the log of a mellow yet fun two days. We stayed with another photog Peter so we got some dope double angles. On one of the days we also met up with a few dudes that went by names of Chris, Dan and Taylor. The first day was rather unfortunate, aside from skating back and forth from a few spots trying to get some tricks and not get busted, we ended up at one of the lamest shops ever. Dude took a half hour to grip Chris' new board, we had to get out of that scene and booted it as soon as Chris had deck in hands. Isaac did manage to snag this dope gap to front tail at Cloud Park. Soon after he decided it'd be nice to just put it down to fakie, and sure enough he did with ease.

The next day was pretty mellow. Chris, Dan and Taylor had all departed by this time so it was up to Isaac, Aaron and Joel to make shit happen for some photos. We started the day off with a McDonald's breakfast. You know, not something I was too stoked on (nor did I trust it very much either), but all went down well and we were fueled to start throwing shit down. Joel got a dope sequence that Peter shot down the Mississauga down manny pad and then we went to shred some pretty cool ditches. Got some nice shots there and decided it was time to pack up and head home back to Kitchener.

Thanks for the stay Peter!

We aren't dead yet.

I know I was rather bummed out when I made the end of summer post but I've come to realize that we aren't anywhere near dead yet. Weekend-ly trips to Toronto, London and other cities are happening and everyone is throwing down. Some new spots have been found (super fun ones at that) so I'm having a blast, nothing is better than finding a new spot in your city to shoot.

see, told you we(Aaron) were getting footy

Keep your eyes peeled, gunna drop a big post before snow falls and then taking a trip in December. Big Tings!
