Struggling for 130

What a gruelling 130th post...and I just barely made it. This blog has been totally off my mind's radar(obviously) so I haven't even thought to update. I have however been getting a lot of questions about whether or not this blog is toast....fuck naw! This blog is in better shape than ever, the posts are just few and far between. In celebration of a 130th post and the love you've been showing me, here's some photo content!

Will Jivcoff Video

Took one last road trip to Michigan before I head out for the next two months. Ben gave us a place to stay and his mom hooked us up with a fat breakfast each morning along with some other goodies. Did some after sessioning at Landslide and caught up with the homies for the last bit of 2009. See you in 2010 suckers!

New Love Skateboards Promo

Love Skateboards Secret Spot Throwdown

Through out the summer, Love will be holding best trick throw downs at spots through out KW. They will take place on Friday evenings, twice a month or so. Classic "5spot" style set up. Spot will remain secret until the day of. Come skate, best trick wins a board. It all starts this Friday evening July 10th at 7pm. Check the Love site or the facebook event page for the spot listing the day of

and spread the word...or don't. The more people out the more fun it will be but the less people out, the more chance you have of winning.

Turning Back the Hands of Time

Ah yes, you really know things are going to hell when that day pops up that you turn the clocks back an hour. Night comes quicker, cold gets colder and you and I get unhappier. I guess I shouldn't be worrying because we do have about another week and a bit of nice weather.

On this particular day it was actually really nice. It was a little chillier compared to some of the recent weather but everyone was soaking it up while it lasted. A bunch of us only got around to skating some stuff when it came closer to the night so not much of a photolog mission today. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the updates somewhat steady for the nice week ahead.

Schralpin' in Kingston

This weekend was a great one. It all started with a bangin' Thanksgiving dinner with my family and then heading off for some great skating. Mother nature was all too kind with the weather as well...I'm talking about sweating with the sun beating down on you, it was awesome! Back on track, Isaac, Joel, their brother Aaron, Cameron and I all headed down to Kingston to get our skate on. We didn't really know what to expect but ended up meeting some of the nicest dudes who were down to show us a bunch of great spots. Everyone ended up with some real gems (footy, photos and new friends) and had a great time. Thanks to Aaron for letting us stay at his place and Soren, Jamie, Brock, Cameron and Francois for showing us a good time.

A Nice Fall Day

These are the days I really like about Autumn. Sun shining, perfect skate weather(17-20 degrees Celsius) and some homies. I also happened to have school and work off so it was only multiplying the awesomeness of an already great day. I would also like to give a huge thanks to Jon Eby for letting me borrow his digital camera...I owe you heaps!

Ninja Cheerleaders

For the weekend Isaac, Joel, Aaron and I headed down to Toronto to get some skating and filming done for the Love promo. We met up with the likes of Matt, Drew, Justin, James, Duke and many others; our crew for the first day was pretty deep. Just as we were getting in to Toronto on Saturday everyone was waking up so a bunch of us warmed up waiting to go out. First spot of the day Aaron got a trick (I would consider it a combo with the dodging traffic aspect) and after being over that spot Drew got a trick as well. Heading on to the UofT area we dorked around on some ledges and Isaac got a trick on a steep bank. The day was coming to a close so we got some dinner and started walking around to check out Nuit Blanche. It was supposed to be an art show but we didn't really see much to check out. By midnight-1am most of us were dead from the day so back to the apartment we went only to have Isaac stoked out to watch some crappy movies.

Sunday was a really mellow day. The city streets were somewhat empty because the art show (Nuit Blanche) had run until sunrise. We took advantage of this but kept it mellow ourselves. Joel got a line somewhere in between and we also met up with Peter. It was around five and we were all pretty tired and hungry so we started heading for the van to give our weekend a close.

On a side note, the sweater weather is finally here. There might be a month left of skating so everyone is really trying to milk the season for what it is. Also, don't ever mess with a cheerleader by day/ninja by night...those chicks can seriously mess shit up.

Wallrides are for pussies!

The weekend was a fun one, that's for sure. Not in the sense that we got a ton of bangers but more or less just skating outside of Kitchener. Kitchener is cool, sometimes, but a change is cool. Saturday Isaac, Joel, Byron and Brody skated around Guelph for a bit. We also got to go try out the new concrete park they have there, fun stuff. Sunday was Londay day with a crew consisting of Cam "Trouble" Stokes, Aaron, Isaac and Joel. We also got to meet up with the former Brantford dudes (Jamie, Derek, Andrew and Dan) but now they live in London so I don't think we can call them that anymore. Fuck it! They're the Brantford Dudes forever.

Got some cool skating done, clips filmed and just had a good, sunny weekend in general. The cooler weather is setting in more frequently so everyone is really starting to cherish those "hot" 22 degree Celsius days.
