Down to Business

Dan Ray's mom has been putting us up for the past couple days while we enjoy the splendors of clean beds, blankets, a pool and properly cooked meals. Fort Myers is so small and skateboarding is banned everywhere around the downtown area so we've quickly worn out our welcome around here. We managed to makenames for ourselves and got red flagged in a matter of days. Tomorrow we're going to try and take care of some last minute spots and then off we head to the land of paying for hotels, Miami. Take a peek at the photos below to see that we haven't been completely slacking.

Pilgrimage

On Saturday I headed to Florida to skate and get some business done with the likes of Hill Sulpher, Jamie Jeffrey, Mikey Plantus, Chris Quick, Bow Digga, Dan Ray, Mitch Pryma, Glencoe Hogle and Hugo Balek. We kept ourselves busy on the road with energy drinks and beef jerky that gave us food poisoning and immediately started cutting our pants into shorts as soon as we hit Fort Myers. The journey was a long one but we made it. Here's to the next two weeks of sun and shredding!

New Life

I've been making weekend trips down to Michigan every month or so to skate and shoot the shit with the homies down there. This passed weekend ended up being a good one to head down there since mother nature decided to smile on us and allowed a bunch of the crew to get some skating done outdoors. I think all the skateboarders can feel it...spring is on it's way!

I figure it's pretty safe to go digging through the files on my computer and try and find something cool to post.

For the first archive post I'm going to take you back to this past July when I was in Vancouver. Dane Collison was driving the crew of us guys around and took us to this school yard where Colin spotted this wall rail. He's got a weird fetish with wall rails; he can skate them damn good.

Overall, the spot kind of sucked but Colin battled it out and got his trick, as seen above. In hindsight, this was pretty much a warm up spot for what we were about to roll up to next....

A good pal of mine from Michigan who is now living in Santa Monica, California just got on board with Hype! Skateboards. Congrats Justin, keep on ripping!
